Our Expert Review / Final Verdict

At first glance you would think the Meiko would be the best of the two dishwashers.

2. The Meiko DV120.2 and Champion DH-5000 both use similar technologies.

3. The Meiko DV120.2 and Champion DH-5000 can handle an average of 50 racks an hour.

Here is where it gets interesting.

2. The Champion is ENERGY STAR rated.

3. There is no such listing for the Meiko

4. The Meiko uses 1.86 gallons of water per rack of dishes.

5. The Champion uses .83 gallons.

6. The Meiko has a 2 hp motor.

    • 1.86 galleons per rack.
    • No Energy STAR Qualification

Depending where you have your establishment. This could cost your business hundreds or even thousands of dollars a year. Right now in this sagging economy you have to save every penny and cut corners which is why you have to look at the hidden costs of every part of your operation.

Water and electricity prices have skyrocketed of late and especially in California where both have forced some business to close their doors. You know the profit margin you have to work with.

In the final analysis The Champion is the winner based on its ability to do the work you need done and a operating cost that wouldn’t have you seeing red
